The event will be contested on the iRacing.com platform and feature Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020s racing at Daytona International Speedway’s Road Course in a two-hour timed endurance event. Teams of up to 3 drivers per car will compete to win, with prizing information to be announced soon. Teams can lock their entry into the event via a donation of $250 or more per team to the Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation.

In honor of this first-ever event, Race for RP has a commitment from a long-standing partner to match each donation made via the event 3 to 1, up to $500,000.
“We’re so excited to be a part of this unique eRacing experience. What a great opportunity for fans and racers to come together in a fun way to raise awareness and advance science for the benefit of patients with autoimmune disease. We’re especially thankful to our generous donor who is willing to match gifts 3 to 1. There’s potential to raise a significant amount of money for research. We want to get as many people involved as possible.”
Dave Bammert, President of the Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation
Podium eSports is a leading broadcaster of eRacing and eSports and the broadcast home of the Monday Night Racing (MNR) league – an independently owned eRacing league and sanctioning body that operates on the iRacing.com platform. The league rose to prominence via its popular Monday Night Racing Pro Series that features a collection of well-known real-life and virtual racing stars from around the globe.
Podium, MNR, and Race for RP are excited to launch the inaugural eRace for RP. The three organizations have united under a singular mission to raise funds for the Relapsing Polychondritis (RP) Foundation’s autoimmune disease research initiatives. RP is a rare autoimmune disease characterized by recurrent inflammation of cartilage and other tissues throughout the body.
“We are honored to partner with Race for RP to raise awareness for this autoimmune disease condition. The racing community, both virtual and real-life, is a tight-knit world that has proven capable of rallying behind major causes in the past, and we believe an event like this is the perfect way to get the international community to understand the cause and rally meaningful support behind it that makes a real and measurable difference for individuals who suffer from RP.”
Ford Martin, owner and founder of Monday Night Racing
“Podium eSports is honored to provide our services to such a great cause. Being able to showcase Race for RP on our platforms and help grow the awareness for The Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation. This event will certainly go down as one of our proudest accomplishments and we look forward to bringing this to everyone for their enjoyment and the benefit of those with autoimmune diseases.”
Gary Sexton, managing member and chief creative officer of Podium eSports
