Fanatec presents Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1 Steering Wheel – wins in Monte Carlo

Premium sim racing hardware manufacturer Fanatec recently announced a partnership with the successful rally team M-Sport Ford and racing icon Sébastien Loeb was able to win its debut at the Monte Carlo Rally right away.

With the Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1 steering wheel developed by Fanatec, another hybrid steering wheel expands the Fanatec steering wheel portfolio in addition to the BMW M4 GT3 and the Bentley Pikes Peak steering wheel portfolio. The Fanatec Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1 steering wheel is not yet available, but will be available in the Fanatec Online Webshop in the future:

Fanatec already has a long history with Monte Carlo, as one of the first sim racing products was the “Fanatec Monte Carlo” steering wheel, which then developed into the Speedster series. The Monte Carlo steering wheel of the time had analogue hand paddles for gas and brakes, and steel springs instead of the rubber bands that were popular at the time. All the more impressive that the new steering wheel wins the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally 20 years later.

The latest Fanatec product – the Podium Button Module Rally – is used in the new winning car, the M-Sport Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1 WRC. Developed in collaboration with the M-Sport World Rally Team, the new button module is an integral part of the vehicle’s hybrid controls, allowing drivers to quickly adjust engine, regeneration and boost settings, as well as many other functions.
